Rory is the Co-Chair of Edwards Wildman's Labor & Employment Practice Group. He has practiced in the area of labor and employment law since 1977. Rory handles a wide variety of labor and employment law matters. He represents employers in federal and state court proceedings in all phases of employment litigation. Rory also represents employers in arbitrations, unfair labor practice and representation proceedings before the NLRB, contract negotiations, and discrimination complaints before federal and state agencies.

Rory's clients include a number of large metropolitan hospitals and health care systems, several banks, entertainment industry companies, a large charitable religious organization and social service agencies.

Notable Experience
  • Rory has represented employers in both federal and state court actions involving claims of wrongful termination, breach of contract, and age, sex, race and disability discrimination.

  • He also has counseled employers regarding a variety of employment issues, including sexual harassment policies, procedures and training, employee discipline and compliance with federal and state civil rights laws.

After more than fifteen years in private practice, the last six years of which were at Proskauer Rose, Rory founded the labor and employment law boutique firm of Marshall & McEvoy in 1992, which he and his partner brought to the Firm's New York office in 2004.
