    Siobhan defends businesses in employment and labor litigation, conducts highly sensitive investigations and provides legal counsel and advice on all aspects of the employment relationship. She conducts risk assessment reviews and compliance training for her clients, and acts as an outside investigator and advisor to clients for internal claims of workplace misconduct, harassment, discrimination and retaliation.

    Siobhan’s litigation experience includes first and second chair trial experience and defense of employers in a variety of employment disputes, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, breach of contract, defamation, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, benefits and wage and hour cases. Siobhan litigates claims in state and federal courts and administrative agencies throughout the Northeast and New England regions, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.

    Siobhan provides enhanced value and budget predictability to her litigation clients through strong partnership and sound application of risk analysis, assessment and project management models.

    Siobhan has obtained summary judgment or dismissal on behalf of clients in dozens of cases and has successfully defended those decisions in the appellate courts. She has significant experience in the Banking & Financial, Consumer Products & Retail, Education, Food, Beverage & Hospitality, Healthcare and Manufacturing sectors. Siobhan’s recent successes include:

    • Summary judgment affirmed for Siobhan’s clients by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on claims by a mortgage loan officer for age discrimination and retaliation.

    • Summary judgment granted for Siobhan’s client by the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on claims by a bank manager for age discrimination.

    • Summary judgment granted for Siobhan’s client by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York on claims by a registered financial advisor for disability discrimination, failure to accommodate and breach of contract.

    • Summary judgment granted for Siobhan’s client by the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on claims by a former bank executive for race discrimination and retaliation.

    • Summary judgment granted for Siobhan’s client by the New Jersey Superior Court on claims by a call center representative for gender, race and national origin discrimination.

    Prior to joining the firm, Siobhan worked as an employment and labor law attorney in a mid-sized Boston law firm where she represented employers and employees in all aspects of employment and labor litigation and counseling, including the negotiation of executive employment agreements, noncompetition agreements, and severance agreements. Siobhan began her career as an associate for a plaintiff's employment and civil rights practice.
